A three-phase alternating current commutator motor is a three-phase alternating current motor with armature winding with a commutator (see DC motor) on the rotor. Also called three-phase asynchronous commutator motor or AC rectifier small motor. It is a constant torque AC speed regulating motor.The rotor winding with a sliding ring through the motor air gap magnetic field of the three-phase alternating current, its relative rotation of the rotor synchronous speed are s. If the rotor speed are to reverse rotation, the magnetic field is relative to the stator winding branches and commutator speed are the slip speed (DP s-, EMF and DP) stator windings and the commutator winding induced for slip frequency. It varies with slip rate (see asynchronous motor). However, the magnetic field has the relative speed fixed on the rotor (synchronous speed are s), so the commutator winding electromotive force and slip. The three-phase parallel commutator motor is equivalent to an asynchronous motor in which the external electromotive force (i.e., the electromotive force of the commutator winding) is fed into the secondary side winding (i.e., stator a, B and C windings). The difference is that the former is placed on the rotor and the secondary side on the stator.
